Ocala National Forest Alexander Springs

I heard the bears as I hiked the 1 mile in off of SR 19 where I had been 1 week prior. I saw a bear paw print, and some scat, but did not see them. I wanted to do a portion of the trail before I met up with Kyle to do the Alexander Springs to B52.

We left the camera on the kayak transfer, so we did not get any pictures on the run, but we wrote down all the wonderous sights we saw on the way.
We did get a photo of the run as it looked when we pulled out as it was getting dark.

3 Lakes part deux

This three lakes trip started with a long car ride to where we had finished the previous year. They were burning the scrub, and there was this hot (literly) fire starter chick

This hike had some great observation location at the OB Tower at Lake Jackson, and the OB Deck at Lake Marian. Marian had some big gators, check out the shot below.
We hiked in style and got some shots of 3 lakes.

We were mezmorized by some cool birds, an owl and a vulture. We will be back to three lakes in a couple of days to wind up the three lakes portion of the FT.
